The White County Library in Cleveland, Georgia has served its patrons in Cleveland and surrounding areas for over 40 years. In its infancy the library changed locations multiple times to accommodate its patrons and its ever growing inventory, but as the library grew and matured the county and its inhabitants raised the funds for the building at 10 Colonial Drive that was built and dedicated in 1980. As our community grows we consistently strive to keep up by providing information and technology services to those seeking knowledge, wisdom, and adventure.
Our libraries, both the Cleveland Branch and the Helen Branch, are members of the PINES system. This means we’re able to borrow materials and share our materials with almost 300 other libraries in the state. If you’d like to sign into your PINES account please visit gapines.org.
“…it isn’t just a library. It is a space ship that will take you to the farthest reaches of the Universe, a time machine that will take you to the far past and the far future, a teacher that knows more than any human being, a friend that will amuse you and console you — and most of all, a gateway, to a better and happier and more useful life.” – Isaac Asimov
“I see libraries and librarians as front-line soldiers in the war against illiteracy and the lack of imagination.” -Neil Gaiman
“The only thing you absolutely have to know is the location of the library.” -Albert Einstein
